Vectra PU Matte Panels

Thirty-four articles on a polymer matte surface over an HDHMR base. These are not tiles — they are full-height boards up to 9.5 ft, so a wall goes up in a handful of pieces with almost no joints. Twelve shades run across the range, and the same article can be ordered in a different shade to order.

What it does well

  • Full-height boards — a 9 ft wall goes up with no horizontal joint.
  • HDHMR base takes screws and hinges, so the same board can face a wardrobe shutter.
  • Matte polymer surface: no glare under downlights, and it does not yellow like a gloss.
  • Metallic inlays are set into the board, not stuck on top.
  • Twelve stock shades, and the range is cut to size at the showroom.

Installed

Fitting it

  1. Interior and vertical use only. Horizontal use and humid rooms are limited by the supplier.
  2. Fix on a levelled ply or batten frame, or direct onto a true wall with adhesive.
  3. Cut on a panel saw with a fine blade, face up.
  4. Seal cut edges before fixing where the edge will be visible.
  5. Shade may vary slightly between batches — order a full wall from one batch.

Looking after it

  • Wipe with a damp cloth and a mild detergent.
  • Do not use abrasive pads on the matte surface.
  • Keep standing water off the base of the board.

Questions we get asked

  • The supplier limits it to interior vertical use, with humid environments restricted. It is fine for a dry kitchen wall away from the hob and sink; it is not a shower material.
